Hey there, champ. I know it's a pain in the ass but keep the bike in your dorm. Locks won't do much when everyone and their mom's got the edge on supernatural talent.

[He's hoping the kid didn't notice he's been gone. So he starts off with that just to test the water.]

[ It takes a while for Jesse to respond, for about a day or so; he had just returned from an exhausting trip outside the city.

But more importantly:

HOW DID HE KNOW? Jesse is startled, to say the least. ]

[ But Jesse never noticed Dean was really gone; he assumed his absence was a result of being busy. From what he heard what happened in the city while Jesse was away, he'd be surprised that Dean is all in one piece. ]

Are you okay? I heard powers went haywire in Asgard.

Yeah, I'm fine. I went off the grid so I wasn't really around for things going ass up.

[He knows because he heard enough from other people and he was a kid before so he knows what makes them tick. For the most part. Dean can put two and two together.]

[ Jesse is a little taken back by Dean's swearing, only because he never heard a grown up brazenly swear in front of him. Usually when they swear they did it when Jesse wasn't looking. ]

Peoples' powers were going haywire and other people got hurt. That's what I heard.

[The swearing's not appropriate but Dean's always treated him like a little man. Not like he's had it easy.]

Yeah, I got the gist. I'm glad you made it outta that okay.

Well, I wasn't there when it happened. I went on a field trip with some of the gods and a couple of others to some abandoned city. Sam was there.

How'd that go?

[It wouldn't be the first time that the gods have pulled a stunt like that and Dean didn't believe in coincidences.]

Pretty good. We saw the Earth Giants ruins. It was kinda creepy, there weren't any animals there.

You ever figure out why?

Sam might know more than I do. All I know something really bad wiped out all the Earth Giants, like an explosion or a disease or somethin' and that's enough for the animals not to live in the ruins. I think the Earth Giants and the gods here were friends once, which I think is why the gods really don't want to talk about it.

I'll talk to Sam.

[Not that he's gonna mention it but he's pretty pissed off that a kid like Jesse was subjected to that. He has enough issues with his own mortality.]

[ Jesse didn't think it was a big deal: for him, it was like a field trip for a history class like back home. In fact, he hopes there will be more trips like it. ]

I can't remember if you did or not either. I'm in Freya, and I've got charm. Not that I use it much.

I'm in Freyr and I got Drawing. It's so cool, I really like it. I can make balls and chairs and stuff.

What do you do with a power called Charm anyway?

It's a manipulation tactic. I can get people to do what I want 'em to. I never really use it. Something about it doesn't sit right with me. I'd rather duke it out in this war bare-knuckled.
